Here are some questions and answers you may have about Covid before you book:

What are your Covid cleaning protocols?

The yachts are thoroughly cleaned before any vacation stay and it is the reason check-in to your yacht is later on in the day. We also believe that a sailing holiday is one of the safest covid-wise, due to being outside most of the day and a lack of crowds unlike busy resorts.

Are there additional Covid requirements for the sailboat?

No - just the Covid entry requirements into the US or Bahamas. Please make sure you are up to speed with the requirements, particularly any inter-island Covid entry requirements. We suggest checking Covid requirements regularly as Covid protocols may change. 

N.B. if you are planning to go to islands in between different countries, please make sure to check Covid requirements for all countries visited.

What happens if we test positive for Covid before or during out trip?

We encourage everyone to purchase travel insurance for situations where you may get Covid. If you get Covid before your trip, that insurance should cover your trip cancelation. If you get Covid during your trip, you will need to follow the Covid isolation requirements for that country.

Where can I get Covid tested for the requirements to go back to our home country?

For boats in Palm Cay Marina, Bahamas, the marina offers convenient Covid testing, both antigen and PCR tests at an additional cost. You can pop into the office when you arrive to book the day and time you need to test (make sure you are aware of turnaround times for test results).
